BONUS: Famous dishes to try
While Thailand’s most recognized dish internationally would be the Pad Thai (ผัดไทย), a stir-fried rice noodle dish usually served with shrimp, locals true favorite is the Pad Gaprao (ผัดกะเพรา), a stir-fried dish with chili and holy basil, which can be served with chicken, beef, pork, and even shrimps. Thailand is also known for its numerous curries, such as the Panaeng (แกงพะแนง), a spicy red curry packed with some nutty peanut flavors, the Gaeng Kiaw Waan (แกงเขียวหวาน), a mildly spicy green curry, and the Massaman (แกงมัสมั่น), a rich curry served with your choice of protein and potatoes.
